British rock band Coldplay are set to take five-year break from recording and concerts to focus more on their families, claims the Daily Star. Frontman Chris Martin is keen to spend time with wife Gwyneth Paltrow raising their children Apple and Moses. Apparently Chris was overheard discussing the decision with friends after performing with Jay-Z at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday night. As for this collaboration Chris Martin has recorded a hip-hop track with Jay-Z for the rappers new album. Coldplay frontman has previously also collaborated with Kanye West and the Streets rapper Mike Skinner.
Its going to be a long, long time before you hear a new album from us. Weve done a few things, but were all enjoying having families at the moment. If it takes five years for us to feel ready to record something new, then so be it. We need plenty of time to let it come together organically.
