There just seems to be this overwhelming desire for the media and followers to bring Janet down. People/Media (especially in the U.S.) only focus on negative issues but you rarely ever hear of the positive issues. As for me the 20 Y.O. album is great. After 20 years I don’t expect every song to be ground-breaking nor earth moving. But the album is not bad at all - I actually like it from beginning to end. It all comes down to giving it a chance. Don’t cover it with doom before you give it a chance. I am a true fan and will remain a true fan through this album and on to future albums along with the millions of other fans. When an artist that can keep this many fans for this many years then you know you have a true artist.

This is just ridiculous. Implying it’s all over for Janet, because she’s not number one, is plain stupid. Anyone who has experienced Janet live in concert will know she is a legend who will be remembered forever- no matter how much the latest album sells. i have it and i LOVE it. The fans are happy, so who else gives a damn?!

ney sayer! its hard to predict album sales! just look at velevt rope it debuted at no 1 with much lower sales than 20 y.o. and yet continued to sell long enough to become a platinum seller! Got til it gone the carrier single from the same album also had tepid airplay but the second single together again was a huge smash! better keep the predictions to fortune tellers! probably you better join one! it is usually unfortunate for some story writers to predict a very gloomy out look for people whom they feel comitted so "sin" for exposing herself during the nipplegate scandal! If you look at overall album sales in the US there is a very slim difference between Ludacris and Janet’s album sales and most rap albums usually fall short on their second week sales. Considering Ludacris’ single "moneymaker" was no 2 in the billboard hot 100, i think that comment of poor sales should be more on him than janet whose single "call on me" had barely any pop radio play or video promo at mtv! I think janet’s album did fairly well considering all the media bashing bashing she has received!
