Angelina Jolie just keeps giving interviews and talking to the press. She recently gave a backhanded compliment to Madonna, supposedly telling a French magazine that she “would never take a child away from a place where adoption is illegal,” but that she has “been horrified by the attacks [Madonna’s] been subjected to [for adopting Davie].”
Madonna dissed Angelina a while ago by saying she could have done all the charity Angelina does, but that doesn’t actually help! She said to Time “Look, I could have joined the U.N. and become an ambassador and visited various countries and just kind of showed up and smiled and looked concerned. But that’s not getting to the root of the problem.”
It looks like Angelina is answering her in her own way, by saying people shouldn’t diss Madonna for snatching a baby, but of course she would never do such a thing because that’s wrong.
Angelina’s people issued a statement about the article implying that she gave more compliments to Madonna in the interview that weren’t published. She also said she really loved Brad and that after she met him her life “seemed more harmonious.”
