Britney Spears and Kevin Federline back together

Say it ain’t so! Or say it is. We’re not sure. K-Fed may have ass clown-like qualities, but he’s several steps up from that petulant loser Howie Day. Just saying.

In any case, take this rumor with a boulder of salt. But Britney Spears told her close pals on her recent Mexico getaway that, after weeks of hush-hush meetings and tearful late-night discussions, she is set to reunite with her FedEx-husband.

“When she was on vacation she was in the best mood she’s been in for ages,” says an insider.

“She confessed it was because she and Kevin Federline are slowly moving towards getting back together.”

After months of misery and confusion, the singer has supposedly welcomed Kevin back into her life - along with her mom, Lynne Spears.

Pals were stunned when Britney Spears told them, as it seemed reconciliation was the last thing either of them wanted after their divorce was finalized.

But time has given the couple the opportunity to remember the good times they once shared. Now, every time Kevin drops off their sons Sean Preston, 21 months, and Jayden James, nine months, he stays for hours.

Sometimes even overnight, sources say. Ooh. Stop the presses, it must be official!

Britney Spears must be feeling really forgiving lately.

She certainly seems like she’s in the mood to mend fences. First, celebrity gossip spies report that she and Kevin Federline are making nice.

Now, the word on the street is that Britney and her estranged mother, Lynne Spears, secretly met up in Los Angeles to resolve their ongoing feud.

Rollin’ in her black Mercedes, Britney Spears arrived first, escorted by her huge ass bodyguards. Britney’s mom, hiding in the back of a car, followed 20 minutes later.

All parties departed her estate approximately an hour later, appearing to be in good spirits. And surprisingly, we don’t mean Britney was liquored up.

Things have been strained between Britney and Lynne - so much so, in fact, that according rumors, she refused to see her mother - on Mothers Day - even though Lynne was hospitalized with pneumonia.

According to Splash News, after bouncing back from her sickness, Lynne had been scheduled for what was believed to be a tell all about her insane daughter on The View - but at the last minute, she pulled the pin.

We assume they mean “pulled the plug.” Unless Splash News is saying she tossed a grenade at Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Of course, many View-ers probably wish this were the case.

The Hollywood Gossip been wondering why Lynne canceled her June 6 visit to the former TV home of Rosie O’Donnell. A personal appeal from Jayden James, perhaps

We’re glad to hear that this Spears family feud is being resolved, though we’re a little skeptical of the recent reports that there is a Kevin Federline reconciliation in the works.

Aww. Jayden James Federline is tired. Probably sick of hearing about that stupid whiner Paris Hilton and whether or not she’s locked up. And we’re not blaming him.

Blame Paris Hilton for our delay in getting up Britney Spears news today. The lawbreaking hotel heiress is hogging all the celebrity gossip headlines.

But we do have the following to report on the troubled mother of Mr. Jayden James Federline:

She is NOT dating her drug counselor John Sundahl, as reports had earlier claimed. Sundahl, who acts as Spears’ drug counselor - and is doing a bang up job - was linked to the star after they reportedly met up at his Beverly Hillshouse to discuss follow-up treatment after her spell in rehab earlier this year.

The man who could probably assist Richie Sambora right about now simply said: “I am not having a relationship with Britney Spears.”

Meanwhile, another singer feels badly for Brit: the ever-popular bjork. The weird one recalls how dealing with fame became too much for her during the height of her career (yes, both days of it) in the 1990s when she was living in the U.K., prompting her to attack a journalist who tried to talk to her 10-year-old son.

Wow. Even Spears didn’t do that. But she has delayed flights and possibly hooked up with Ryan Phillippe.

Bjork says she can relate to The Hollywood Gossip’s favorite celeb, who is hoping to revive her career after a stint in rehab and constant press criticism about her parenting skills and party lifestyle.

“I definitely feel sympathy for Britney, but I had a choice. I could move away. She can’t,” Bjork said.

It’s true. Spears is actually being forced to get drunk and publicly diss her mom.

Yowza. Not sure who this hot chick is, but regardless, as you can see by visiting Britney’s cyber-home, her concerned, loving fans are pouring in the support from all corners of the globe, showering the blonde wigger with positive messages like:

• “Relax and don’t rush yourself.”
• “We are here for as long as it takes for you to get better.”
• “Say hi to Jason Filyaw for me.”

Okay, just kidding about the last one.

While the site is displaying some of the more inspirational messages on the home page, there’s no guarantee your letter will be posted on the site. The confirmation just says that Britney’s “team” (which we assume consists of Jayden James and Larry Rudolph) will review and consider it for posting:

According to Mike Walker’s column in the National Enquirer, American Idol plans to get rid of non-essential judges Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul next season. The show is still doing well, but since ratings are down producers want to make some changes. They’re even said to be considering Britney Spears for a permanent judge position!

Here’s hush-hush from the Top Dawgs at “American Idol” - a major house-cleaning triggered by sinking ratings means Randy Jackson’s out as a judge next season, Dawg… and so is ding-dong wack-a-doodle Paula Abdul! “Ratings this year were the lowest in two years - one week, even ‘House’ beat it,” said a show insider. “The belief is that things have gotten stale, and ‘American Idol’ is now ‘American Idle.’ They really want to mix things up, create a whole new set, institute format changes - and get rid of Paula and Randy, replacing them with younger faces.”

Both Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson have three year contracts that they signed in 2006, meaning they both have two more years left. If this is true Idol will probably have to give them both substantial payouts if they want to replace them.

It sounds a little like fake news to me, though, especially since Britney Spears is being dragged into it. We’ll have to see what happens. She would make for an interesting judge, that’s for sure.

Today’s Page Six has another story of Paula acting weird in public. She was said to be 30 minutes late for the Fifi fragrance awards last week and to have slurred so badly while presenting that it was impossible to understand her. It’s kind of surprising to me that Idol has kept her this long.

Has Britney Spears found love… in rehab!

Hard as it may seem to believe (and we don’t), some gossip publications are reporting just that. Britney Spears supposedly met Jason Filyaw (pictured) at an AA meeting this past week.

The 33-year-old is, according to his MySpace page, lead guitarist of a band called Riva.

Since meeting Jason Filyaw, Britney Spears apparently calls him constantly and her pet names for him include Mr. Secret Underground Guy and J-Sun.

Who can blame Mr. Filyaw for falling head over heels for the gal. Everyone loves an insane, bulimic chick with two kid, two ex-husbands and a shaved head.

A source, who is definitely not made up, says:

“Britney adores Jason. He’s been a tower of strength for her at the lowest point in her life. She’s convinced Jason can help while she’s in rehab because, as an alcoholic, he’s been through the same thing.”

She’s supposedly so serious about him that sources are saying she plans to move him into her house once she gets out of rehab.

Doubtful. Tower of strength This clown is in rehab too! Never mind the fact that one of the primary rules of any rehab is celibacy. Come on. This guy clearly doesn’t have what it takes to be the next Isaac Cohen.

In other Britney Spears news, London’s The Sun is reporting that she’s planning to leave rehab two-days early - to attend Kevin Federline’s birthday bash.

Her family, everyone at Promises and probably even Jayden James wants her to stay, but she insists she’ll be fine. We all know how this is gonna go.

Britney Spears has hooked up with a guy she met at one of the outside AA meetings she’s been attending. It looks like that whole K-Fed reunion stuff was just a crutch for her, as she’s latched on to Jason Filyaw, 33, a guitarist in the band Riva.

The National Enquirer is set to claim that Britney calls and e-mails this guy all the time and that she wants to move in with him once she’s out of rehab.

The troubled pop star has hooked up a musician she met in AA, and plans to move in with him once she’s out of rehab, according to the upcoming National Enquirer.

Spears, 25, has fallen for Jason Filyaw, the 33-year-old lead guitarist of the rock band Riva, reports the tab.

“Britney adores Jason,” a friend of Jackson’s told the Enquirer. “He’s been a tower of strength for her at the lowest point in her life. She’s convinced Jason can help her through rehab because as an alcoholic, he’s been through the same thing.”

Spears emails and phones Filyaw constantly, according to the report, and the two have pet names for one another: he calls her Sugar, Kitten and My Lady; she calls him Mr. Secret Underground Guy and J-Sun.

Filyaw, when contacted by the Enquirer, said, “I have nothing to say about this.”

If this is true it’s ridiculous. She just sold her new house and hasn’t even settled down in her old one yet, preferring to jet around and get into trouble at various hotels and resorts. She seems desperate for some kind of stability in her life and is latching on to this guy as a life preserver.

The AA program discourages new members from relationships, and advises that they not get involved with someone until they’re sober for a year. They say that alcoholics often substitute a new intense romance for the addiction they’re trying to conquer, and that any stress or problems in the new relationship can tempt a relapse. Put two recovering alcoholics together and it’s double trouble

OK!, is reporting that pop beauty Britney Spears is happy that Paris Hilton is going to jail now. Gossips claim Britney Spears wants the heiress to pay in prison.
Don’t expect Britney Spears to sign a “Free Paris” petition anytime soon, as the pop star is now gloating over former pal Paris Hilton’s jail sentence. And one insider tells OK! that Brit couldn’t be happier she ended her friendship with the Simple Life star. “Britney is relieved to have distanced herself from her ex-party buddy,” the source says. “Rest assured - you won’t see Britney speaking to Paris through the glass petition in the jail on visiting day”
[Britney] “blames Paris for a lot of her image problems that she had before rehab,” the insider confides. “Britney is happy to be living clean and sober, far away from Paris’ mess. She’s also glad that the attention of making mistakes is now on somebody else.”

Celebrities always walk a fine line between welcoming publicity and trying to live privately. Unfortunately, it’s hard to have it both ways.

Take Britney Spears for instance.

She almost literally grew up before the cameras in the Mickey Mouse Club along with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.

As a teen, she became a megastar and has been in the public eye ever since. There was even a (crappy) reality show about her marriage to Kevin Federline.

But now she’s in full-on train wreck mode.

The singer with the shaved head has a mountain of personal problems, and if you combine that with the stress of not getting to see her kids whenever she wants, it may have been what pushed the star over the edge Wednesday.

As we reported yesterday, Spears came by K-Fed’s pad in Tarzana, Calif., to see her young sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, but FedEx refused to let the troubled pop star inside.

Fuming, she stopped by a gas station afterward and unleashed her fury on a photographer’s car with an umbrella (breaking the umbrella in the process) before jumping back in her vehicle and speeding away.

She resurfaced later that night at Promises Malibu Treatment Center, where she checked into rehab for the second time this week and the third time in a month - of course, Brit bailed twice after less than 24 hours.

This really isn’t funny. The important thing is that Spears is now getting the help she needs. But anyway, are some hilarious pictures of her freaking the f*%k out.
