Kate Beckinsale has quashed rumours her marriage is in trouble.

The ‘Click’ actress - who is married to filmmaker Len Wiseman - has rebuffed reports the couple’s relationship is on the rocks, and insists they are as happy as ever.

She said: “It’s all my fault. I once jokingly said because we took up residence in Los Angeles that our marriage was doomed. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Beckinsale recently revealed the secret behind her happy marriage - lots of sex.

The British actress - who has a seven-year-old daughter, Lily, from her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, actor Michael Sheen - said: “I have the good fortune to have a husband who is quite taken with me. He tells me how sexy I look, which is a great source of comfort. We haven’t allowed ourselves to become lazy when it comes to finding time to have sex.

Kate Beckinsale says becoming a mother has made her less selfish.

The ‘Click’ actress - who has a seven-year-old daughter, Lily, with former partner actor Michael Sheen - used to be consumed with her career before she became a parent but Lily has made her evaluate her priorities.

She told Britain’s OK! magazine: “Acting is an inherently selfish profession when you are constantly looking for better roles. Being a mother is also a very consuming role. You need to put your child’s needs above yours and place less focus on yourself.

However, the ‘Pearl Harbour’ actress insists it is possible to have a successful career and a happy home life.
