There are rumors circulating that Jessica Simpson is only going around with John Mayer in order to make a certain ex-husband jealous.

Apparently she doesn’t know just how fun and fearless Nick Lachey can be.

But Cosmopolitan does - and the magazine just awarded Nick the honor of Fun and Fearless Man of the Year.

We’re not entirely sure what that honor means, but it sounds enjoyable and brave to us. And Lachey looks mighty proud in the image below. We’re guessing Vanessa Minnillo is also happy for her man.

We’ll begin with the one depicted in the photos below: the TRL hostess is the new face (and hot body) of Bongo clothes. She replaces Laguna Beach alum Kristin Cavallari as spokesperson and looks mighty fine doing it.

Ironically, Lachey was alledgedly dating Cavallari for a bit, also, following his divorce. And CaCee Cobb. Man, that guy has game. But anyway.

So when the still happily-married Springsteen ran into the ex of Jessica Simpson at the Jingle Ball, he made sure to introduce himself - and get a piece of him, the New York Post reports.

“[Springsteen] ran across the crowd to gush over Nick and hugged him - so he could go home and tell his daughter, Jessica Rae, he ‘got action from Nick,’” an eyewitness says.

“Apparently, she’s completely in love with Nick and Bruce wanted to give her an early Christmas gift by relaying the story to her.”

Looks like Vanessa Minnillo has some competition! Not that we can blame Bruce or his daughter. Unless she also likes Ashlee Simpson - then we’re so gonna be in a fight.

According the New York Daily News reports, Nick Lacheys newest album has sold twice as many copies as Jessica Simpsons. The two were husband and wife for three years. Jessica asked the divorce and the ex-celebrity couple had a much-publicized split. Life goes on and so as their music careers, each releasing new albums Whats Left of Me of Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson Public Affair.

That being said when comparing sales of Simpson and Lacheys album sales, he appears to have publicly recovered quickly due to his open sadness while Jessica Simpson chose to offer listeners a quite pop album in the wake of her divorce. Simpsons fourth album has sold a total of 218,972 copies ( while her last album sold 2.9 million copies ) and currently sits at No. 131 on Billboards Top 200 Album list, while Nick Lachey new album has seen 545,345 sales - triple the amount of sales Lachey enjoyed till now.
