As host of Today, Matt Lauer interview some very interesting people.

He sat down with disgraced beauty queen Tara Conner a few months ago for an engrossing interview. As fascinating as tales of cocaine addiction and girl-on-girl action must have been, however, there’s no way they could equate to the wide-ranging tales told by Lauer’s most recent subject:

Pamela Anderson’s crotch.

As you can see here, Lauer got up close and personal with a region Kid Rock and others know all too well. Of course, most viewers were probably familiar with this most private of parts already.

After all, Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson made the first foray into the world of celebrity sex tapes, long before Keeley Hazell even thought about spreading her legs for the camera. It was a homemade porn more watched than any movie a nude Tonya Cooley has ever starred in.

Still, Lauer is a top-notch newsman. He probably got some exclusive sound bites from this body part. But as you can see, Anderson’s large breasts were jealous of the time spent focusing on her lower half. They’re practically popping out in hopes of getting a word in.

Show them some love, Matt. Lord knows hundreds of other guys have.

Cannes hasn’t really picked up yet from what I can tell. Yesterday Jerry Seinfeld donned a giant bee costume and floated over the crowd on pulleys to promote computer animated film Bee Movie, also starring Chris Rock. It is out in November, 2007.

The cast of Zodiac was reunited to promote their film, which was released about two months ago and features Jake Gyllenhaal as the notorious real-life serial killer. Chloe Sevigny and Mark Ruffalo also star. Sevigny wore quite a normal flattering dress to the premiere, although the outfit she donned for the photocall was typically fug.

Juliette Binoche promoted her film Le Voyage Du Ballon Rouge. The description on IMDB says “A little boy and his baby-sitter inhabit the same imaginary world: through their adventures they are followed by a strange red balloon.” Didn’t I see that movie already

Bai Ling strutted in a bikini while wearing a long black cape and weird cranberry fur legwarmers to drum up interest in Shanghai Baby, a film about the sordid sex life of a novelist.

And Pamela Anderson put on her signature sneer pout at a photocall for Blonde and Blonder, her new comedy with Denise Richards. Richards was nowhere in site, and must have stayed away from Cannes now that the news broke that she’s no longer with Richie Sambora.

Kid Rock was looking pissed off when he left a club in Cannes last night right after hearing the news that his recent ex wife, Pamela Anderson, and her new boyfriend had arrived. He hightailed it out of there with his girlfriend, Danish Victoria’s Secret model May Andersen, who was looking a little worse for wear.

Anderson showed up looking triumphant with her new boyfriend hanging on happily behind her. She was wearing a short black sleeveless scoop-neck dress with a silver tassel hanging down from the bustline. The identity of her new boyfriend is as of now unknown. Let me know if this guy looks familiar to you, but at least Sky Showbiz can’t identify him either.

Anderson has appeared on the cover of Playboy more than any other woman, and two of her pictures are included in the collection. Rock must have expected to see pictures of his ex at the party, but it seems he wasn’t able to deal with running into her too.

Pamela Anderson is quoted as saying Scarlett Johansson would be her number one choice for a spread in Playboy. Anderson has posed in Playboy 12 times, and she says she’s rooting for Johansson to appear, but doubts she’d do it:

Pamela Anderson… believes the Lost In Translation star would be ideal for Hugh Hefner’s raunchy publication.

She says, “Scarlett Johansson would definitely be my number one choice. But I doubt she would agree to do it.

“On the other hand it’s kind of cool to be on the cover of Playboy, but on the other hand, for many actresses, it’s not at all.”

Johansson doesn’t need to do Playboy. She can just strut her stuff in lingerie and retain some of the mystery.

Johansson has said she’ll do a nude scene in a movie at some point, probably an arty flick. She also appeared semi-nude on the cover of Vanity Fair, covering her breasts and lying on her stomach to reveal her bare butt. Keira Knightley and Tom Ford were also on the magazine, with only Keira undressed.

With all those opportunities to tastefully tease, it’s doubtful she’d ever do Playboy.

Here is Scarlett Johansson at the launch of the Louis Vuitton “Love” collection in New York. I love her hair and makeup. The dress is a little wild for my taste, but she wears it well.

Some actresses attend the Cannes Film Festival and promote a movie that a) hasn’t even begun filming yet and b) will most likely suck.

These people are named Jessica Simpson.

Other stars know where their famous bread is buttered. Or, in the case of Pamela Anderson, what their best poses look like.

The 40-year old drew plenty of attention overseas by eschewing any sort of movie publicity and simply posing for pictures of the assets that have made her such a well-known name in the first place. That’s right: Victoria Beckham’s boobs have nothing on Pam’s!

If Keira Knightley is really looking to grow some breasts, Anderson would be the best example to follow.

The same can be said for anyone hoping to marry a white trash rock star and then get divorced a couple months later.

In true Pamela Anderson form, she reconnected with two of her exes right after splitting with her husband of four months, Kid Rock. Of course Rock was also one of Pamela’s old loves that she just couldn’t let go of and hastily married after a summer fling.

Is newly single Pam Anderson torn between two exes On Nov. 27, within minutes of filing for divorce from hubby of four months Kid Rock, 35, she was on the phone reconnecting with her “forever flame,” ex husband Tommy Lee, 44! “He asked me is it true you are getting divorced, and if it is true, what are you doing later” Pam told the TV show Extra. Five days later, Pam and Tommy spent the day watching their sons Brandon and Dylan play football and basketball. “They were kissing and hugging most of the afternoon,” an eyewitness tells Star. Tommy may have some competition. On November 26- the night before she filed for divorce - a wedding ring -free Pam was in San Diego’s Stingaree nightclub attending a party for her ex boyfriend, San Diego Chargers footballer David Binn, 34. “They looked very comfortable and seemed to be tuning out the other partygoers,” an eyewitness tells Star. “It was clear that she was there for David.”

Kid Rock has also turned back to an ex. He was seen out with Conchita Leeflang, who he dated after his first breakup with Pamela Anderson in 2003. Word is that he never lost touch with Conchita and Pam suspected him of cheating with her during their brief marriage.

The GQ Interview that came out right after Pam and Kid split may offer clues as to why their marriage was doomed. They fought in front of the journalist, with Pam scolding Kid for his
love of hunting and use of the word “gay”

Recalling their 29 July (06) marriage in the current December 2006 issue of the publication, rap rocker Rock growled the guests were made up of “whoever could afford to come,” adding, “None of my friends were there”. He later claims, “I’m not in charge of this relationship”.

When his new wife attempted to correct him, stating, “They’re all your friends, baby..”. Rock snapped, “None of my friends were there”.

Then, in a further exchange, the couple disputed the use of the word ‘gay’ when tough guy Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, insisted, “That just takes the gay metre right to the end” when asked to confirm he sang U2’s With Or Without You to his new bride on their wedding day.
Anderson attempted to correct him by saying, “That’s enough with the gay word. That’s not nice,” but her husband glibly jokes, “It’s a new word. All the kids are using it”.

The actress/model even threatened divorce, which she filed for last week (ends01Dec06), when her husband jokes about her animal rights work.

Asked by the magazine if his wife’s love for animals is making an impact, Rock jokes, “Now I shoot the deer and she saves it,” which prompts angry Anderson to retort, “That’s divorce right there. You shoot anything, it’s over.

Nice to know these two are able to learn from their mistakes.
